The Visa Trusted Agent Protocol (TAP) is a standard from Visa for verifying that an AI agent is trusted and authorized to transact, so a payment made by an agent can be accepted with confidence.

What this means for your store

When an agent pays on a shopper's behalf, everyone in the chain needs assurance the agent is legitimate and authorized. TAP is one of the emerging answers to that from the card networks, alongside Google's AP2. This is payment-network territory; your part is complete, accurate product and policy data so the purchase can complete once the agent is trusted.
